工具的谱系 The Genealogy of Tools
《工具的谱系》的工作重点并非修复或还原，而是将材料从既有的分类系统中抽离，使其进入一种未被命名的状态——介于生命与器物、化石与工具之间。作品以最小限度的物理接合作为方法，将化石这一深时间的物质残余，与已失去用途的人类工具并置。箭簇不再指向其暴力史，尺骨不再对应物种分类，铁器也不再承载劳动功能；在组合中，它们的用途、历史与身份被同时悬置。材料由此脱离生物学与人类学的框架，以其物理属性和结构关系进入展场，显露出一种尚未被命名的能动状态。
在这一系列中，我并不试图回答材料曾经“是什么”，而是让它们在功能、身份与历史被暂时移除的条件下并置存在，或许能生成某种新的联系。
The focus of Tools Genealogy is neither restoration nor reconstruction, but the removal of materials from their existing classificatory systems, placing them in an unnamed zone between organism and artifact, fossil and tool. Each work is assembled through minimal physical contact, juxtaposing fossils—residual indices of deep time—with human tools that have lost their original function. Arrowheads no longer point to histories of violence; ulnae detach from species classification; iron objects relinquish their relation to labor. In combination, their uses, histories and identities are simultaneously suspended. Freed from biological and anthropological frameworks, the materials enter the exhibition space through their physical attributes and structural relations, revealing a form of agency that has yet to be named.
In this series, I am not concerned with what these materials once were, but with how, when function, identity and history are temporarily removed, their adjacency may generate a new kind of relation.
